Dr. Kendra A. Cabler
Dr. Kendra Cabler is passionate about all things diversity, equity, and inclusion. As a learning and development professional, she specializes at the intersection of leadership and diversity, equity, and inclusion within communities and organizations. An experienced consultant, facilitator, and educator; she holds a Ph.D. in Adult Learning and Organizational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University, an M.Ed. in Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership and a B.A. in Sociology, both from the College of William & Mary. Her academic research focuses on the development of cultural competence in higher education professionals and the implications for university communities.
With a decade of experience as a DEI professional, Dr. Cabler has worked with senior leaders in higher education, corporate, non-profit, and government sectors to explore what it means to cultivate and facilitate a culture of inclusion across the organization. She is currently the Senior Manager of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Etsy; where she supports internal talent teams to develop strategic solutions to organizational challenges through the lens of inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility. In this role she works with stakeholders to impact organizational culture by engaging employees, supporting leaders, and responding to the shifting needs of our global world.
Her philosophy of work is to be intentional, finish what you start, and build in collaboration. Residing in Richmond, Virginia, in her downtime Dr. Kendra can be found creating community in a cozy coffee shop or exploring opportunities for new learning.
